Property Development
DPD’s core work is the provision of electrical infrastructure and CST (Common ServiceTrench) designs for residential and industrial developments.
This entails working closely with Developers and Consultants to develop cost effective and technically sound electrical designs for both housing and industrial subdivisions. DPD have significant experience with and knowledge of the ETSA network, their technical specifications and work processes which enables us to provide sound, accurate advice as well as superior electrical and CST designs.
DPD provide Electrical Master Planning services for multi-stage developments and develop clear, concise plans to enable Developers, Consultants and ETSA Utilities to accurately determine suitable electrical supply strategies.
The Master Plan is then used to prepare the detailed design as each Stage of the development is developed. DPD work closely with engineering consultants and developers to ensure safe and efficient delivery of services to the development. The design drawings are then issued to ETSA Utilities, Council and other service authorities for notification and approval.
For more than 10 years DPD have provided electrical distributions designs and services to the construction industry. During that time strong, professional relationships have been established with a number of significant Developers, Consultants, Councils and also with ETSA Utilities so that DPD are now recognised as a prominent service provider in the construction industry. Our expertise is relevant across a wide range of housing and industrial developments from the very small to the very large and anywhere in between. We have worked successfully on all types of developments including multi-stage housing estates, retirement villages, Community Title developments, industrial estates, urban renewal projects, small housing subdivisions, rural living developments and single customer installations.
Sunday Aldinga – Project
DPD has worked with the CIC to supply power to the approximately 800 original allotments in the Sunday development. The initial design project also included a masterplan for the overall development to be integrated, while also being designed to allow each stage to be progressively connected and be able to operate independently until connected. Urban design guidelines are also in place to ensure a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing suburb, and DPD was required to work within these guidelines. It was important that the masterplan for the project be designed to not only accommodate this development, but also the adjacent ongoing developments and the existing allotments. During the course of this project, we were required to work with changes being made to the design criteria, when an existing road on the boundary of the development had to be reconstructed and incorporated into the design. Development plans were also very fluid and our designs had to be able to incorporate additional allotments.
